Welcome to Magis Summer trek in Rondane National Park

You will find here the necessary details for the participants of the trip.

Group size: 14 (17)
We travel in three cars:
two minibus (7 passengers) and a smaller car with the crew (3 passengers)
Dates: 19–27 July 2026
Duration: 9 days
Price: 180 euros for the international participants, 2245 DKK for participants from Denmark (inkl. ferry and fuel to and from Oslo to Denmark)

The event is organised by the Jesuits and young adults from Denmark 

Requirements

We expect participants to have experience with longer walks and to be capable of hiking for 6–7 hours in mountain terrain.

What you need to bring

• Food for the hiking days and travel (preferably freeze-dried or other lightweight food)
• Suitable clothing and footwear (trekking boots) for a 5-day mountain hike
  (Norwegian mountains can be chilly even in July)
• Sleeping bag and sleeping mat
• Camelbak or water bottle
• Valid insurance
  (Norway accepts the EU Blue Card for basic hospital care; please check whether your insurance covers mountain accidents and possible transport)
• Tent (we will sleep in tents during the hike; if you can share a tent with another person, please indicate this in the sign-up form)
• Cooking gear (Trangia or Jetboil; if you can share it with others, please indicate this in the sign-up form)

We provide

• Accommodation in Oslo (19–20 July)
• Transport to and from the Rondane Mountains (two minibuses/fuel)
• Gas canisters for cooking gear (not allowed on flights)
• Spiritual content and materials for daily meditation and Mass
• Lots of fun and a great atmosphere!

Spiritual direction, confessions, etc can be arranged personally with the jesuits.


Details of the spiritual program will be shared with the participants after closing of the registrations.

19 July at 8:00 AM, in front of the Catholic Church in Aarhus

For international participants:
19 July after 7:30 PM, or 20 July until 9:30 AM
